Veterans Day Thank You

Each November, our nation pauses to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. At The Fez, Veterans Day holds special meaning. We are proud to have a longstanding relationship with the Pittsburgh-area veteran community, hosting events that bring together those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom.

Honoring Our Local Heroes

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming many remarkable groups to our venue, including:

  • The USAF Reserve 911th Airlift Wing: This distinguished unit based right here in Western Pennsylvania has held events at The Fez to honor of the courage, professionalism, and camaraderie that define our service members.
  • Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #862 (TET Party): The Fez has been honored to host Chapter #862’s annual TET Party, a meaningful reunion and celebration for Vietnam veterans and their families. The event program has featured a Memorial Ceremony, JROTC Honor Guard & Demonstration, and a special vocalist with music and dancing. The event is a true testament to the strength of brotherhood, remembrance, and community.
  • Civil Air Patrol Squadron: Supporting the next generation of leaders, The Fez has been proud to host Civil Air Patrol ceremonies and banquets. These young cadets and their mentors embody the same sense of duty and discipline that has long defined America’s military service.

Each of these gatherings reminds us that honoring veterans isn’t just about one day a year. It’s about fostering community, gratitude, and shared purpose year-round.

Celebrating Community

We’re especially grateful to be part of the Hopewell Township, Aliquippa, and Beaver County community, where local observances reflect the same spirit of respect and appreciation.

  • On Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 682 in partnership with the borough of Beaver will lead the Beaver County Veterans Day Parade down 3rd Street in Beaver. Participation is open to veteran‐service organizations, schools, scout groups, and community members alike.
  • On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the B.F. Jones Memorial Library (663 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa) hosted its 3rd Annual Veteran Appreciation Day. The event featured live music, children’s activities, giveaways, and veteran-resource tables.
  • The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1821 (Aliquippa / Beaver County) continues its mission of supporting veterans’ needs with outreach and remembrance programs. This is a critical local resource for service members and their families.

Meaningful Veterans Events

Veterans events reinforce the spirit of service and community here in Beaver County and our surrounding Western Pennsylvania neighborhoods. We are honored to play a part in meaningful banquets and fundraisers that celebrate our local heroes. To all who have worn the uniform, and to the families who have supported them, we thank you for your service and sacrifice.
