Some celebrations are memorable because of the event itself. Others become even more meaningful when the same venue is selected for five decades of celebrations.
For Jim and Missy, The Fez has been part of meaningful milestones for 50 years.
Their story began on August 28, 1976, when they celebrated their wedding reception in the Grand Ballroom with 525 family members and friends.
Fifty years later, The Fez had the honor of welcoming back this very special couple for their Golden Anniversary party in the Balconade Room.
It was a beautiful full-circle moment for our team. Seeing Jim and Missy come together again for their 50th wedding anniversary party reminded us why celebrations like these mean so much.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
After their wedding reception, The Fez continued to be the place where Jim and Missy gathered to celebrate life’s biggest moments.
Over the years, a nephew’s wedding and reception was held here, followed by a niece’s wedding reception. Both of Jim and Missy’s daughters celebrated their high school graduations at The Fez. The family also gathered here for milestone birthdays, including Jim’s 40th and Missy’s 50th.
Then, in August 2026, Jim and Missy returned once again with 125 guests to celebrate 50 years of marriage.
Celebrating Five Decades at The Fez
Guests enjoyed dancing, delicious food, anniversary cake, cupcakes and a variety of treats on the Pittsburgh cookie table.
But one of the sweetest moments of the celebration happened right from the start, with Jim and Missy’s grand entrance.
Fifty years later, members of Jim and Missy’s original bridal party joined them again to be announced into the Golden Anniversary celebration. Seeing them together again after five decades made the moment extraordinary!
Jim and Missy’s Golden Anniversary party marked an incredible marriage milestone. For everyone in the room, it was a beautiful connection between 1976 and 2026 and a reminder of just how much there is to celebrate in 50 years. Missy shared that they would be returning to The Fez in September for a High School reunion.
